To the player I met today... Posted: 20 Nov 2020 06:35 PM PST I had just finished a Forzathon event and was about to get off when a white Apollo IE honks their horn at me as I fly past. I turn my car around and honk back, then proceed to follow them to the festival. We end up spending 15 minutes or so drag racing, when exhaustion hits me like a train. I honk my windows xp shutdown horn and say bye in chat to tell my new friend I'm headed off for the night. I'm usually a very solitary gamer, and the last racing game I played before Horizon 4 was the original Horizon. I admittedly only got Horizon 4 because of my nostalgia for the first one. My friends and I back in high school would spend the whole weekend convoying from Red Rock to Beaumont and back, playing infection until 4 in the morning on a Saturday night, or laughing our asses off every time we saw the AI named "Didcock." I wanted some of that again, but we grow up and grow apart, and life gets in the way of really putting time into our hobbies. So to the player I met today, I want to say thank you. It was the most enjoyable moment I have had on this game yet, and it made me remember moments I thought I had forgotten. This instance today made me realize why I really bought Horizon 4, so I could get back into a community I had once forgotten.
