- Figured I'd share this one as well, I was able to max it out to almost a minute difference. Pretty crazy for an otherwise normal tune.

- When modifying the Ranger Raptor's track width, I noticed the lower control arms are not attached to anything, and are just floating under the truck.
- Question time: Hi! I'm a PC player, and I wonder is it worth to buy used xbox 360 to play older Forzas. I never had any game console, so I am a little bit wary. Should I do it?

[Forza Horizon4] I finally did it... Posted: 09 Nov 2020 07:59 AM PST Well everyone, I finally did it. After eons of trying I finally managed to run over a chicken. The deer and sheep have always been too fast for me, but the chicken was no match for my AWD twin-turbo Pagani. I feel like I should have got an achievement or something, or at least a puff of feathers from underneath the car. [link] [comments]

[FH4] Trying a new approach to "stock" tuning Posted: 09 Nov 2020 07:39 AM PST I've been trying a new approach to tuning cars that I think of as "stock" tuning, or tuning each car just enough to be its best self, starting from a baseline with a few fundamental upgrades, without over tuning too much to oppress the car's personality, or under tuning far short of its potential. So far the results feel really good for most cars in D through A class (I don't drive S1/2 or X class much). My method is first to apply a few baseline upgrades to every car, to find what I consider its "natural" racing class, and then tune only to the top of that class with any other upgrades I can fit in, always stopping at the top of that natural class. I start by stripping to default upgrades, and then putting on race or offroad racing tires, upgraded to max width (on stock rims), with sport diff, sport gearbox, and race weight reduction. I think of this as the "weekend racer" tune, which adds the the biggest potentially class-boosting baseline upgrades, with a couple of tuning knobs for gearing adjustments to make best use of the stock power, and tweaking lock up to tame unruly over / under steer. (EDIT: I also always strip bumpers if possible, unless the nose and tail are ugly without them, then I will leave them on.) With those upgrades applied, I see what class the car falls into, then tune to the top of that class by adding in more upgrades, starting with brakes, springs and sway bars, and then as many engine upgrades as can fit with the leftover points. Cams, intake, manifold, and exhaust are the biggest boosts and where I put points first if they can fit; flywheel and clutch are good 1-2 point shims when it gets tight. I'll put on all the sport level upgrades that can fit first, and if they all go on easily then I'll go back in the same order and tweak a few up to race level to fill the gap. This gives a mild up tune and a lively fun driving setup for most cars that still lets their personality shine through much more than way over or under tuning beyond the class where each car feels most at home. A handful of cars will tune up a bit oddly by this method. Like the 1987 Pontiac Trans Am GTA, which with race tires, sport trans and diff, and race weight reduction, lands at exactly B700. I felt at first like leaving it there was a little unfair to it, compared with other cars that would just squeak into A class and then have loads of headroom for upgrades. But I wound up keeping it because the '80s Firebird is the archetype of the high school hooligan / parking lot drifter mobile, almost always driven with more gusto than skill, in mostly stock form, or with more money spent on flashy rims than anything under the hood. And it turns out to be hella fun to drive that way even being a little ornery with the stock suspension. The other one that worked out weirdly was the Lambo LM02, which lands in A class with the weekend racer tune, but even with all available race upgrades can't hit A800 without conversions. At that point, to me anyway, it felt way overtuned and hard to handle. I wound up detuning the baseline with only sport weight reduction, which lands it in B class, and then it easily hits B700 with rally springs and a few mild engine tweaks, at which point it drives quite sweetly on and off road, and actually feels like you think a 4x4 Lambo would. Forza Motorsport 4 Servers Down? Posted: 09 Nov 2020 06:33 AM PST So i've been revisiting FM4 on an off over the past few months and starting roughly a week ago it began telling me that the multiplayer/community servers are not available. I don't think it's my connection or Xbox 360 adapter, since Halo 3 still worked just fine. I know the online scene for the game basically died for good late last year or early this year, but i was more in it for the auction house. Has anyone else had similar troubles lately? Any wheel users looking for a convoy? Posted: 09 Nov 2020 08:04 AM PST Basically exactly what the title says. I'm looking for some drivers that use a steering wheel other than the controller to maybe mic up and have some fun in either Horizon 3 or 4 or possibly FM7. I'd prefer horizon for the open map and possibilities but am really willing to try anything to find a couple of other people using steering wheels to have some fun with. I've got a thrustmaster TX on a stand. It's a lot of fun but I'd really like to convoy with some other players using the same type of equipment to see how their experience with the wheel is as well. I'd there possibly a club to join for steering wheel users? [link] [comments]
