The number of issues the online play in FH4 has is amazing. (Original post by Nedimar) Posted: 17 Sep 2020 10:41 PM PDT After all this time... There are so many issues with the online mode that anyone who played like 5 minutes can spot immediatly (if they manage to find a game, that is): Finding a ranked game takes forever, one person quitting restarts the whole process. (Spending 15 minutes searching for a game is soooooo fun...) If searching a ranked game in a convoy fails only the convoy leader will be able to enter the next game at all. (The leader has to restart the search every time to circumvent this issue.) If someone leaves during a team adventure the team with less players has an advantage. (The point distribution should be recalculated, else it looks like this.) It's not possible to select dirt or street races in ranked. Freeroam rush should be its own category. Some cars are just useless with any tuning setup, others are overpowered (Boneshaker, Track-Tor), of course the devs stated this is fine... Rewind in online either doesn't work at all or puts you in a position where you crash again. (Why doesn't it work like in singleplayer? Being able to control where you respawn would be so much better.) Events in the festival playlist should stop when the winner is determined. (Racing isn't fun if you know it's pointless to win.) Playground Games are the most idiotic mandated "fun" to ever exist. (They are fine if you are not forced to play them, but having to deal with quitting, unupgraded cars and up to five rounds with 2 events each is just annoying.) Needing to wait to start a waiting period for a race is annoying. Yes, you can drive around, but you can't do anything of use. How can a game in this day and age have an online experience that is this terrible? How can developers be this oblivious to the faults their game has? The singleplayer experience is awesome, but online is just a broken mess full of idiotic decisions and easy fixes that seem to be ignored, because reasons. submitted by /u/manymoods [link] [comments]
