    Forza Motorsport 8

    Posted: 04 Dec 2019 08:41 AM PST

As a long date fan of Forza, I'm really excited to see what Turn 10 can bring us with a brand new Forza Motorsport. I would like to say here what I think it would be cool to see in Forza Motorsport 8:

    • More day/night and rain(maybe fog?) transitions during the races, with the ability to choose those variations to occur in the race(similar as Project Cars).

    • Return of some classic tracks like Sedona Raceway Park, Fujimi Kaido, Camino Viejo and Ladera Test Track, and add of 1 or more real tracks(Twin Ring Motegi, for example).

-More cars(of course), for example: Go karts, and many other models

    • A soundtrack(in the main menu and pause menus) composed by real artists(Marshmello, Foi Fighters, etc) that can bring us some Adrenaline/smooth feeling about the cars and the races as well(I like the ambiance in the menus of Gran Turismo). What do you think that the next Forza game should have? Let's have a talk

Finally ground out the street scene and have my dream car! Thoughts on my photo are welcome, only just started to take photos. Taken on Xbox so I’m pretty happy with the outcome!

"Classic Cars in a Modern World" - A Top Gear inspired set of challenges in Forza Horizon 4

    Posted: 04 Dec 2019 09:15 AM PST

Two of my friends recently got themselves Forza Horizon 4. We are all huge Top Gear fans so I thought I would spice up the Forza gameplay with some fun challenges, Top Gear style.

There is potential for many more, but we had lots of fun with these three for now:

(Feel free to read the italic parts in Jeremys voice)

First, aquire a car from the Autoshow. The following rules apply:

    1. Has to be D Class

    2. It has to be from before 1995 (Btw Turn 10 please add a year filter)

    3. Your budget is 50.000 credits. Keep in mind you should probably mod the car afterwards so dont splurge it all on the stock car.

    Challenge 1: Rallye Stage

You have now aquired an old Classic car. Time to find out how it stacks up in the real world. As you all know the 70's, 80's and 90's were the heyday of Rallye, but how does your Classic car stack up against a rallye car of the present day? Here we have a 2015 Subaru Impreza WRX STi. 320 HP, All Wheel Drive and a long heritage of rally successes in the 90's. The Subaru will post a laptime on our prepared Rallye stage. You are then supposed to match or surpass it in your Classic cars. Well, who will be driving the Subaru, you might ask? Some say he has a vape stuck under his helmet and that he once drifted past Walter Röhrl on the Autobahn. All we know is, hes called the Stig!

Simple. Post a better lap than a 2015 Subaru WRX STi (stock, B 693) on your 50.000 Credits Classic Car. Pick any Dirt Circuit track you want or use your own, obviously. I personally tried it with a B 682 tuned VW Golf GTI MK2 and got a second faster than the WRX.

    Challenge 2: Cop Chase

As we all know the police these days is really struggling to keep up with all those horsepower beasts on the road, so we decided to help them a bit and provide them with this: A 2014 BMW M4 Coupé. 435 raw Horsepower going to the rear wheels. That should help the rozzers immensly. We just need to test it under real-world conditions. And thats where your Classic cars come in. You will each be given a one minute gap to get the hell out of here and towards the coast before the Police will catch wind of you and start the chase. If you make it to the Hovercraft ferry in one piece you get away with the one million pounds of fraudulently aquired cash we deposited in your cars trunks in advance. If you get caught you will spend the next 20 years of your life in prison. Remember, sat nav is not always the best route. One more thing. The police car driver will be none other than Enforcer Stig.

We decided to start at Mortimers Garden in the top left corner of the map. We set a target waypoint at the Fortune Island marker and gave the Classic cars a 1 minute gap. After that the BMW M4 gave chase. If you get caught and rammed, you were out. Driving offroad was not allowed. This one was a bit hard to pull off for the M4, he was only able to catch one driver while the other stalled by turning the ram into a full blown crash.

Challenge 3: Appealing to young people

Now for the last challenge. As the older generations of drivers start to fade away there is less and less appreciation for the finer qualities of a Classic car. Young people want something exciting and flashy and arent at all interested a rattly old box of metal from 40 years ago. Your challenge is hereby to visually improve your car to appeal to a younger audience. You have one day to prepare your mods. After that, you will take a picture of it and post it on the social media platform of your chosing. Whoever gets the most likes in a week will be declared winner of this challenge.

This is obviously a bit more of a joke challenge. Spend 15 minutes in the Livery Designer to whip up something funny. Still gave us funny flashbacks to some Top Gear episodes where they spruce up their cars with weird shit. If you want you can obviously post it on Forza Hub.

We had a lot of fun with this. I still need to convince my friends to get Forza Motorsport 7 too so we can do some actual old Dunsfold Aerodrome car challenges. But for now doing this kind of stuff has really reignited my enjoyment of Forza Horizon 4!

    Fortune Island Expansion.

    Posted: 04 Dec 2019 09:19 AM PST

So, recently I purchased the Lego Speed Champions Expansion, it was 50% off and was a good deal, but I want to get the Fortune Island too. But I dunno if I should buy it full price or wait for any sale and get it cheaper. So the ones that have it, is it worth it? Or should I wait for any sale?

I think unbeatable in Forza Horizon is not that difficult overall, but in Motorsport it can be really frustrating specially in higher classes (excluding spec races)
