(I don't even know if PG reads this sub, but I'm ranting anyways because my expectations of this game's seasonal events are so low they're next to f*cking dinosaur bones and I need to vent a little)

Throw these awful seasonal events into the bin.

Forza Horizon used to be my favorite racing series. It balanced arcade and simulation well enough to be an enjoyable racer AND a nice relaxing cruiser. Forza Horizon 4's content flow has absolutely soured my taste for these games in its current state.

Driving: fine

Physics: fine

Seasonal events: absolutely 0/10 garbage

I spent $100 on this game for exotic and interesting sportscars, not re-skins and Ford Transit vans. Why is every interesting car added to the game now locked behind the absolute worst gameplay? Racing in a game like this should be fun and engaging, but when I'm busy doing what might as well be a free to play MMO style grind in a game I paid for, just for some car that should have been available with easier means, I get sick and tired. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY wants to do the same foggy, rubber banding AI, rainy road, winding corner and ramming teammate challenge every week to unlock a car that either should have been in the base game or should have been put behind a more feasible challenge. Nobody says "OH BOY I GET TO DO A 7 MINUTE VAN RACE THREE TIMES!!!" I don't even blame teammates that bring legitimate cars to the co-op races. How should they know that the AI of this game was programmed by Skynet and abides by Need for Speed cornering """"physics"""". The current state of this game's content dripfeed is god awful.

And this doesn't even touch upon the chore of getting into these events. This game's menus stall the action more than King Neptune's daughter in the Spongebob movie. The seasonal multiplayer events wouldn't be anywhere near as offensive if it just farted you into a lobby, but instead it makes you wait two minutes to potentially get into a lobby, and then even longer for people to accept, and then even longer for these moonmen to load in with their 1200 ping just so they can ram each other off of the road and ruin the progress of the race for everyone.

Yeah, I get it. "IT'S FREE DLC CONTENT." I don't care. People paid good money for this game, and the last thing it needs is EXCESSIVE PADDING. Get rid of this grindy MMO bullshit. It's an actual tumor on an otherwise decent game and it's actively getting worse with every season.
